Meet Our Staff!
Come meet the happy faces of Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center & Kindergarten! We take pride in a staff that works together as a team to bring the best possible care and cumulative experience for the children in our care. All of our staff is carefully screened (as required by state licensing); everyone is fingerprinted and goes through an FBI check. Each staff member also receives a TB skin test. In addition, everyone must have an early childhood certificate and/or degree, or be working towards one.

I love the field of Early Childhood and I feel very strongly that young children should have a high-quality early childhood experience. This is why I have enjoyed my many years at Trinity. Not only do we have a high-quality program, but we are also able to share the love of Jesus with each other and the children.During my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with my family.

Each day I look forward to the rewarding and fulfilling time with all the committed caregivers, teachers, families and the children. I am married and have three children. They are wonderful and keep me inspired…as well as, very busy in my spare time.
I hold a Bachelors of Science in Child Family Psychology, with an emphasis on early childhood development. I also hold a K-8th Teacher Licensure for the state of Nevada. I am close to completing my Masters in Education, which I hope to finish up in the near future.
Teaching young children is one of my passions, being able to share the gift of Christ’s love while teaching is an even greater joy. I look forward to meeting all of you.
Hi! My name is Ms. Julie and I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 1989. I am currently attending Western Nevada College and Truckee Meadows Community College. I am very close to achieving my ECE certificate and not far from earning my Associates. Working with children is the most amazing job I could ever ask for. They are so full of energy and have an eagerness to explore the world, and they ask lots of questions. I am truly blessed to have a job I love doing. I have been working at Trinity since August 2006. I started out in the toddler – Monkey Class than I graduated to the Pre-K Puppy class. I am also a mother of two amazing grown children, Robert and Taylor. I have been married to the love of my life, Jeff, since June 1989.
Hi, I am Ms. Jacqueline and I was born in San Jose, California. I graduated from Douglas High School in 1997 and began working as an aide, for a local child care center. After graduating I moved to Scott’s Valley, Ca. and attended “Bethany Bible College”, where I studied Early Childhood Education. Currently, I am attending WNC and I am on the verge of transferring to UNR. I will be finishing my Bachelors in “Early Child Education” with a minor in “Psychology.”
I have two amazing children, that keep me extremely busy. My kids and I moved here from Truckee, CA, in September 2010, to be closer to my family. I have over 15 years of experience in the child care industry and just love working with kids! While, in Truckee, I ran a Pre-K classroom for 5 years. My other responsibilites included devloping curriculum for the toddler and 3-4 year old classrooms, on top of Assistant Director responsibilites. I have also worked alongside, school psychologists, speech pathologists and other elementary school staff, with children and their parents on IEP’s, making sure that children, kept on their educational plan within my classroom. I believe every child is different and it’s important to teach each child individually. You find out what makes them tick and go from there, and make sure they have a great start towards a success educational experience. I am so excited to be working at Trinity! This is a wonderful school filled with amazing people and teachers.
Ms. Dawn, Owls Teacher (preschool)
Hi, my name is Ms. Dawn. I was born and raised in Newport, RI. We moved to Minden in July 2003 because of my husband’s job, with our 2 cats, Snickers and Cosmo. We have a daughter who graduated from Ohio State, and is now residing in Chicago as an Editor for an advertising company.
I’ve been working in a Childcare Environment since 1984 with children from 18 months to 7 years old. In February of 2008 I received my Director’s certificate from the Sate of Nevada. I love the outdoors and enjoy bike riding, camping and have just taken up golf. My biggest passion is music. I love to sing as well as play the flute. I am so happy and blessed to be apart of the TLC team.
Hi there! My name is Samantha and I am very proud to be the preschool teacher in the wonderful Parrots Room. I started with Trinity in June of 2013, and I have been teaching preschool since 2008, and have lived in Gardnerville since 1994. My family moved to the area from Van Nuys, California when I was only 5 years old, so the Carson Valley has always been — and will always be — my home. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter, who is lucky enough to attend the same elementary school that I did at her age. The majority of my very large family lives here and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Growing up with a lot of kids around in my big family, I realized at a very young age that helping children is what I love most. It is such a wonderful thing to get to know the children at Trinity, and to watch them grow and discover new things. Still today, I remember my teachers that had a big impact on my life. I pray that I can be that special person for others to remember after they grow. Teaching children is what I live for – and its why being a part of the Trinity team isn’t just a job for me – it is a dream come true to be a part of so many munchkins lives and get to know their families. I am so blessed to be a teacher here at Trinity Lutheran and to share my love for kids and the Lord with all possible. I feel at home while here. With all the love from the staff and children that I get every day, I will never want to be anywhere else.

Hi, my name is Jessica and I was born and raised in the Carson Valley. I attended Trinity myself when I was younger and I am very excited to have the opportunity to now be a teacher in the Monkey room. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014 with my bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies and I am now continuing my educational adventure and pursuing my Masters in Library and Information Sciences.
During my free time, when I am not studying or working, I enjoy camping, reading, and walking my goofball of a dog. 🙂
