Details About Trinity Lutheran's Kindergarten Program
- Class Size: Our class is limited to 18 students, taught by Mrs. Keira in the new, leased modular - a free-standing, self-contained facility, which will be assembled on the TLCC basketball courts in the summer of 2011.
- This is an Exempt Kindergarten. This means that we operate as an exempt school under the provision of NRS 394.211 and as such, our Kindergarten is exempt from the provisions of the Private Elementary and Secondary Education Authorization Act.
- It is a "Modified" Kindergarten, meaning it will be held between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm. We are offering extended hours for learning and teaching based on what research shows for quality education for young learners. The extra hours allow for more reading, math, science, art, music, P.E., social skill development, etc ...
- Trinity Lutheran's Kindergarten class starts in mid-August and ends the first week June.
- The tuition is $4,000, with a $300 registration fee to be paid at the time of booking a student in the class. Families who do not pay tuition in full by August, are required to set up a Tuition Express account for payments. Ms. Lisa can help you with this process. If you already are using Tuition Express she will adjust your payments accordingly come August, 2011. *All pre-school/child care accounts have to be in good standing prior to enrollment.
- Before and/or after school care is available to those enrolled in our Kindergarten Program at a rate of $35 a week (the rate for before/after school care for children who attend Kindergarten at a public school is $110/week). In addition, childcare during winter and spring breaks is available for an additional fee.
- Our Kindergarten curriculum includes: Core Knowledge for kindergarten - general education & social studies, Zoo Phonics for kindergarten - reading, Concordia (religion), Shirley Method-language, Saxon math, Scott Foresman - science, D'Nealian - handwriting.
- We follow Douglas County School Calendar for start and end dates and most holidays (less the teacher collaboration days).
